A jury finding of infringement on two patents ultimately led to a settlement for $142 million in damages. Samsung’s counterclaim of G+ breaching an obligation of good faith negotiation was rejected. In addition, he was named The American Lawyer’s Litigator of the Year in 2024.
Mr. Sheasby’s entrepreneurial pursuits include a role as the co-founder of a biopharmaceutical company. His team focuses on antibody therapies for ovarian and pancreatic cancer, as well as other cancers. His company has developed a pair of drugs presently undergoing human clinical trials, with an aim of quickly produced, low-cost medicines.
